Health Lines

The Health Promotion Board offers two toll-free confidential helplines:

HealthLine 1800 223 1313
Provides professional advice by our Nurse Advisers on healthy living and disease prevention. You can obtain information on all health matters including ways to exercise, nutrition, myopia, osteoporosis, cancer, how to manage your diabetes better. HealthLine also conducts regular specialist-on-call sessions, where doctors, nutritionists, pharmacists and other specialists are invited to answer your health-related questions.

QuitLine 1800 438 2000
Providing help to a) smokers who want to quit smoking and lead a smoke-free lifestyle, and b) information to family and friends of smokers on how to help their loved ones quit smoking. Callers will be assisted by a Quit Adviser, a friendly, non-judgemental nurse trained in smoking cessation methods and counselling skills. The Quit Advisor will assess the smoker's medical history and readiness to quit, draw up a plan and monitor the smoker's progress in follow-up sessions.

Mondays - Fridays: 8.30am to 5pm
Saturdays: 8.30am to 1pm
Both lines are available in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil.

Attend A Workshop

Contact HPB's Nurse Educator at 6435 3221 / 6435 3828 during office hours or send an e-mail to hbp_nurse_educator@hpb.gov.sg to attend workshop on diabetes prevention. Charges may apply for these.
